“Legacy Story”

In 1987 James started with two carpet books and a 25 year old van to begin his dream. James acquired the business license for “Superior Carpets and Maintenance” located on Slauson & 4^th avenues. For seven years he sold mostly remnants.  In 1994 Superior Carpets moved to the La Tijera store and changed the name to Superior Carpet & Design Center.  In response to the increased business - Pam (a certified Interior designer) joined James in 1996. The business expanded to installing drapery, blinds, shutters, vinyl, laminates, tiles, granite counter tops and home staging, design consultations and furniture sales. 

In 2001 Superior Carpets joined Flooring America a buying group that was and is a great blessing to help propel Superior Carpet to the next level. Business began to flourish again and Superior carpet was more competitive. The seminars and conventions offered by Flooring America helped to increase the staff’s knowledge and the training for the owners was fabulous!!! The on-line training is like going to a carpet university. We love and appreciate Flooring America; they are a God sent Blessing!

Currently, Superior Carpet & Design Center, LLC is expanding our business to property management corporations. Superior offers written quotes within 24 hours and installation in 72 hours depending on the number of units. Superior Carpets and Design Center is your make ready specialist!!!
